Become a Volunteer Firefighter

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer firefighter now is the time to apply. Fill out an application and drop it off at Station 1 at 680 Commercial Street in Monroe from 9am to 5pm Monday through Friday. There is no cost to join, we supply you with all equipment and you will attend fire academy with other local departments on the weekend this Fall. Not sure if it's for you? Come attend a training Wednesday night at Station 1 at 6:30pm.

Notice of Budget Committee Meeting

A public meeting of the Budget Committee of the Monroe Rural Fire Protection District, Benton County and Lane County, State of Oregon, to discuss the budget for the fiscal year July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2020, will be held at the Monroe Fire Station, 680 Commercial Street, Monroe, Oregon. The meeting will take place on April 18, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. The purpose of the meeting is to receive the budget message and to receive comment from the public on the budget. This is a public meeting where deliberation of the Budget Committee will take place. Any person may appear at the meeting and discuss the proposed programs with the Budget Committee. A copy of the budget document may be inspected/obtained on or after April 12, 2019 at the Monroe Fire Station, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
